HORSE TRAINING
Horse Training- Starting & re-educatiuon
Our ultimate goal is to provide our customers with safe, respectful, responsive & well trained horses. No matter the breed, size or discipline; the foundation is the same.

We pride ourselves in only taking on a small number of horses at a time. We want to ensure we spend the time your horse needs on its training program. We aim to work each horse 5-6 days a week, with each horse being handled a minimum of 1 hour a day.

We like our horse broke & quiet. When training horses we don't micromanage, we allow horses to make mistakes, so they can learn & be forward thinking partners.
Biomechanics are very important to us & are something we are constantly considering when creating training programs for horses. Having a horse using its body correctly & carrying itself properly is critical for a long, sound career.

Foal & Yearling Handling
The most critical years of training for your horse are the first 2 years of their life. They do not need hard work as they're still growing, however this is the time that they learn the bread & butter of being handled by humans. Having your horse well handled in these years can really make a horse.
The foals & yearlings that come through, learn how to:
-
Halter broke
-
Lead & tie up
-
Wash & groomed
-
Pick up feet
-
Basic groundwork- Lunge, change directions, move forward, yield hindquarter & forequarter.
-
Flexing in halter & follow their nose
-
Desensitising
-
Ponying off other horses & vehicles
-
Floating
-
Hobble Training

Campaigning
In 2025 we are offering campaigning of outside horses in the barrel racing arena.
Having your horse carted & exposed to the competition atmosphere, is great for their mind & helps them mature & become a quiet, level headed horse.
We have carted horses around the state for numerous years to rodeos & barrel racing jackpots. We have had horses compete at the ABHA National Finals for the last 3 years as well many open barrel races.
